Snow day!

I hope everyone lovely holiday weekend. After having an extra day off now we are back at work only to leave early because of snow storm in NY. Yep it's been snowing non stop here and it really took me by surprised, because I thought it was going to snow in the evening. I did not wear my UGGS as a result my feet were freezing in the cold. The roads are horrible and with the wind chill it's very dangerous. We managed to do our work early and left by 3p. If anyone is out there please take it easy. I hope you are at home and enjoying a cozy warm night. 

MLK day!!!

Today is known as MLK day. It's a day for reflection on our lives in this country, how society has changed. What we need to do to make our lives better. I'm very thankful for all that Mr. Martin Luther King had done for me and my family. Because of his fight I am able to be a US citizen, I'm able to shop anywhere I please. I'm able live my dream and have bigger dreams. My son can freely can go to any parks, Has many friends to play with. 

We have come along way and it is our duties to continue teaching our children, neighbors to appreciate one another. Violence does not resolve anything.

Road to the SuperBowl!!!

HAPPY SUNDAY!! In case you don't know this but Today is the biggest day in the NFL for us the fans, advertisers , the teams and more. Today's game determine who gets to go to NEW YORK for the big game. It's the SuperBowl and this what all the players dream off from the first day off the season to today. The games are even more special because for the 4 teams it's a rivalry that's big and so much to loose.  It's old school vs new school. Payton Manning vs Tom Brady will be playing their biggest game today. Legacies are on the online, history in the making, stakes are high and it's now or wait for next year. When you're that close to the big game, you're thinking about playing well, make great plays, standout  and be hero for you and your team. All the hard works will be put to a test today and I'm very excited to see who really wants it more. 

Side note: I won tickets to the superbowl party that Magic Johnson is hosting in the Time Warner building. I'm beyond excited and great way to start celebrating my birthday. 

Who wants it more. 

Legends will be made.

A light winter look!

I hope everyone had a great weekend despite the wild weather across the border.  This morning I woke up to a surprising 50 degree weather, it feels like spring, it made me tempting to wear a light spring jacket. Yep that's how deceiving this weather is. The meteorologists from all the networks have warned us about the cold front that is fast approaching. I had to put a scarf and gloves in Ayden's backpack for later today. In the evening the temperature will be in the 30s and windy. 

I know it's winter but I don't think I should wear only dark color. I gotta keep it light. After the holiday I started doing a little shopping and I got this sweater from Banana Republic it was on sale with additional 50% off ( that was a great bargain). The skirt is a light purple corduroy  that I got on New Year's Eve from GAP it was super cheap only $7. The boots are FRYE from 6pm I got them at a great deal also under 130. By the way these boots are super comfortable. If you're on a hunt for a great bargain now is the time to look because the stores are cleaning their stockroom to make way for spring and summer merchandise.

Weekend Snow storm

 The new year comes with a BANG, a cold front and lots of snow. Yep we had snow, strong wind, and the deep freeze that made things worse to start the weekend.  Due to the heavy snow overnight through the Friday morning. Lots of people did not made it to work, from my team only two of us showed up. We managed to stay for a few hours then headed home. I was able to take a few pictures that morning.

Happy new Year!!!

I hope everyone is having great new year. Let's hope for health, prosperity, security, unity, hope, peace, happiness, love and many blessings. Let's this new year things get even better. I was blessed and thankful to ring in the new year with my two leading men, friends and family. We stayed home to watch the ball dropped in Times Square. The bitter cold winter does not allow me to join the folks in Times Square NYC to celebrate. Since I had to work for half a day on Tuesday I was able to visit Times Square as the crowd begin to ensemble and settle in their spots.  Times Square is the place to be but it comes with it's consequences. 

I'm not big on setting plan aside because I don't want to start something that I can't finish. On that note, my goal is to continue eating healthy, stay away from the "bad" food. To continue be a God follower and stay stress free.
