Happy Memorial Day...

...To all who have served and continue to fight at the battle field to protect us here in the country. I really appreciate all the work and effort the men and women who are in uniform do for us and May GOD continue to protect them.... This long weekend we are so lucky to have a really warm weather in the northeast, i am not complaining at all. I don't have plan for barbecue but we are going to the park to enjoy the sun.

Zumba

Yeah i was like what it that? Everyone in the office have been talking about ZUMBA and i was curious to find out it's all about. I had no idea what ZUMBA was until i started watching the infomercial early one Sunday morning. I was blown away, I started doing the all the moves while i was getting the  hint to buy the DVD now for only 19.95.... Since everyone in the office have been bragging about how good they feel and how much fun they have i figure i should give it a try.  So I checked it out on Tuesday and i oh my.... i loved it, i loved it so much i am going back next Tuesday.  It's so much fun anyone can do it and i mean anyone. The class is a combination of dancing salsa while you are having fun and burning calories. Everyone is doing it why not you. if you're looking for something fun easy to do with no stress while burning fat then ZUMBA is for you. Check here for more info.

the Queen of Haiti

Last night there was a free concert at Lincoln Center in NYC and Haitian's iconic figure was to there to perform. I had such a wonderful time and when i listened to the old songs that i have not heard in such a long time it brought back memories from when i was little girl living in Haiti... I was reminiscing about all the things i used to when these songs came out...I hardly ever go to any Haitians festivities however, for that one i had to be there.  having said that, i had the best time ever. Emeline was introduced to some during the telethon that was done for Haiti back in January.  Emeline is such a role model to us all and i am glad to have met her. Her soulful voice and her traditional sexy dance really were the highlight of the performance... Here are some shots that i took last night from my phone... a little side note i took on a cell phone so the adjustment is not quiet there.

There she was outside talking to all her devoted fans... very grateful to have met her

Haiti Cherie,

On this day May 18,1803 was the day when the Haitian revolutionaries chose the red and the blue banner to represent what Haiti is all about and  for their chosen flag. Since then the flag represents  a symbol of unity, peace, pride and individual liberty for all Haitians. In Haiti the flag day is national celebration with lots of parades, festivities throughout the country. Even outside of Haiti, the Haitians pay a tribute to the flag by having parades, and everyone carries the flag for week.  It's a bitter sweet celebration for Haitians as they work together with world  to help rebuild the country after the devastating earthquake hit the country on January 12.

Bomb Scare in TIMES SQUARE....

I am sure you all heard the news about NYC circulating on every broadcast stations in the country. Believe it or not I was in TIME SQUARE Friday night  giving  my cousin a tour of the beautiful place in the city. It was so crowded with tourists, vendors and police officers i really felt safe that day. Not for one second did i think of someone in the crowd being suspicious. Living in NYC through 9/11 should make me more vigilant about what's going in the city, however on Friday night  i did not feel any concern or worries about being in downtown. it was a beautiful night and people were just having a good time... Since the weather was so beautiful i wanted to go back in TIMES SQUARE that Saturday, yep i was so close to call my cousin. I really never thought that TIMES SQUARE would be the target for any criminal activities. This place is a place where the world meets literally because you see so many different faces from all over. this place is well known for the bright lights, the huge billboards, the Broadway shows and all the festivities that go on there. I was really saddened,  and shocked when i heard the news on Twitter, I could not imagine NYC without TIMES SQUARE. I kept thinking who could we trust or we should we run from in NYC where everyone blends so perfectly.
From all the chaotic The material the police found in the Nissan Pathfinder-  are Gasoline, propane, firecrackers and simple alarm clocks. the  NYPD Commissionaire  R. Kelly said  the bomb " would have caused casualties, a significant fireball."
What's going on with our world? Why people are trying to hurt us, the civilians including  me that were in Time Square are innocent and we don't deserve this. I am praying to GOD they will find who's responsible. New Yorkers are very strong and this will not hold us down GOD will guide and defend us... Now it's the time " if you see something say something" please don't hesitate to do so when you're in the city or anywhere else for that matter.
