Today my son celebrate his first fourth of July and we are so proud to be an American the land of free.

Recovery

It was a week ago at 5:45 am in the morning before sunrise when the car service came to pick us up. I was looking frantically around the house to make sure that I had packed everything and I would not leave anything behind. You might be wondering where could I be headed this early in the morning with a baby. Well for starters, it was an agreement that we knew before our son was born that he would get circumcised. Unfortunately because he was born with a low platelets it would very risky to do the surgery; since it means he would have to get a cut and loosing more blood. After several transfusions and multiple visits to the Hemathology his platelets finally become regular. It took another few months before we got clearance from the doctors to proceed with the surgery.

Finally after a long wait June 27 was the big day for our son. A day that I wanted to come and be gone because i know it would bee too painful for us and mostly for him. The procedure was done very quickly and he was put under anesthesia( thank God for that) I seriously don't see our son being wide a wake for that. Being at waiting room was the longest 30 minutes ever for me. I had so much in my head as I'm sitting there patiently awaiting for the arrival of the doctor. After the surgery the doctor called me in his office to ensure me that everything went well.
Now the wound is healing and he is doing well. I use ointment to help it heal faster.
My little man is a fighter.

11 months

So today baby boy turns 11 months and I can't believe he is a month away from turning one. He is super active these days, and he is very talkative too, he is always calling daddy. He continues to sleep through the night, he is eating well that includes table food. He is very petite and getting so tall, he is wearing size 3 in diaper and size 4 if the brand runs small. He has 4 teeth and more are piercing in the back. He is able to point to what he wants and continues to shake his head to say no. I don't know how it happens but he has a little bit attitude, he bangs his head when it does not go his way. He also screams out loudly when you tell him he can't do something. I really try to be calm with him and trying to explain why he can't get his way.
We are so happy for our little boy and all his accomplishment and God will always be there for you. On side notes: Ayden finally met his great grandmother and grandma, it was a great meeting as you can see in the pictures.

Weekend update

I hope everyone had a lovely relaxing long holiday weekend with their loved ones. It's the unofficial start of summer and we got a taste of the weather this weekend. It was baby boy first memorial day and daddy's birthday too. I was not complaining at all, we had a great time. Even though we did have a barbecue or go to beach we still make time to enjoy each other. Baby boy enjoyed the sun greatly, and I'm so excited because now he can actually play with other kids in the park. His personality is coming out more and more, he is able to point when he wants something, he is talking a lot more and he is not too far from walking. I have a low production of breastmilk and we start him on formula this weekend. I really hope that the formula goes well with his belly.

10 months!!!

Baby boy is 10 months and is always on the run. He is now into music and loves to dance. He is standing on his own, starts to take steps on his own. so much is happening everyday with baby boy. I'm so blessed to be his mom. We love you so much and God bless you. I'm still pumping but the milk production has reduced drastically. I do hope I can make it to 11 months, will see.

9 Months!!!

I can't believe our little man is actually 9 months. It seems like it was yesterday when I was in labor and now fast forward to today he is crawling, standing up, growing teeth and doing much more. I am so bless to have him and I thank the Lord everyday for the gift he gave us, we are enjoying him and he makes us happy. 9 months means so much to this little guy, his facial expressions are so much clearly, he has his own personality, he understands the word NO. He loves to play with older kids.  He loves to eat specially home made cooking from Grandma and Daddy. I don't buy anymore jar food except for the organic fruits. He is still on breast milk and he still loves it.

8Months!

 My baby turns 8 months this month, and I'm asking myself where did the time go? He has been on the move since he turned 6 months but now we have to really make space for him since he is a lot more mobile. He is so independent, he loves being on the floor, he can clap his hands, he can said no by shaking his head, he said no a lot more during feeding time of course. He is responsive to the word NO. you got to start discipline at very early age. The teeth have not come yet but it's getting real close I'm guesting by the end of March to mid April something will be there.
He is a happy baby who sleeps through the night. He doesn't wake up for feeding during the night. He is very talkative, super active too. He is able to stand by pulling himself up from sitting down.  he will make an attempt to put almost anything he can in his mouth.
He had his last appointment with the Hematology and everything went well.His platelets are very high and will continue to go higher. The doctors are so impressed with his improvement. I'm blessed to God that our child is growing healthy and happy.
As far food, he is doing well with table food and he is getting breast milk too. I prepare home made food
for him and grandma always makes his favorite too. At 8 months he it's wearing 12,9,6-12 in size and it also depends on the brands we even go up to 18 months sometimes.
I love being mom and so grateful for my hubby who's always there for me to lean on. We are so blessed to have him and praise the Lord everyday for the gift of life.

Fun day at the park

We are so blessed to have mild winter so far in the northeast and this week has been like any other week. Exceptional weather we could not have asked for more, since daylight saving darkness does not come early anymore which means more time to take stroll in the park. I took Ayden outside twice this week after work for about one hour; with his little outfit without a coat and he loves it, his eyes are everywhere looking at the trees, the commotions that's going around us. he was amazed by the big blue sky he saw above him. While at the park I met a new mom with her 8 month old baby boy, they both were born in July, and now i have a new friend to talk about baby related issues and anything else. I am hoping the weather will hold up for this weekend so that we can go spend some time in central park with our new friend.
