Happy December!!

• Wow, I really can't believe the year is almost over. The holiday season has finally kicked in and now it's that time again for everyone to start going crazy for gifts and everything that makes everyone irks during the holiday. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere I go I notice all the beautiful window display, all the trees are surrounded with Xmas lights. The salvation army representatives are standing with their little ringing bell on hands in every corner of NYC asking for small donation. Every major offices around NYC including retailers have a huge box in their lobby asking kindly for everyone to donate their used and warm clean coats to the homeless or bring can food or toys to help the less fortunate children of America. If you're company is not doing the coat drive, you could always donate your warm coats  by checking out their site at www.newyorkcares.org  to get more information.

•   Speaking of gifts I know so many people who share their birthday and Christmas so close together i don't even know if I should just get one gift or get 2 things but small items. I usually get my sister 2 gifts but this year i am not too sure how i am going to do it. 

• There are so much things I have to do, starting with work. We are to start working on accelerate schedule for the holiday and since all the agencies and other staffs  will be out early it makes my job even harder, we have to get more than 2 logs out per day. Crazy hours meaning  long day at the office everyday, no time to shop:(  In spite of all the craziness that will be going on for the holiday at the office, I am optimistic that things will run smoothly. Since it's December I have to start think about the Christmas parties I have to attend, what to wear and hopefully it wont be too cold. Last year after the company party I was in the hospital for week so this year I  plan on being very careful. I have to worry about dressing warm now because it's starts to get cold.  December comes in with a cold front and it looks like it getting even colder for the weekend.

Gap Cheer

So today i was on my way to Rite Aid when I came across the GAP cheer leading squad... As you know the holiday is around the corner and to start the shopping season Gap has been traveling around the country to give away free sweater and coupons to everyone. I am sure you have seen the ad on almost every commercial break when you're watching tv, they were in Harlem today and I had a great watching them dance. They were promoting Gap.  This what i captured....

Weekend recap part 2

I knew that Macy's was having a huge sale, so around 5 pm we decided to go see what they had on sale. Well being a savvy shopper I really did not see a great sale, it was just 50% off and some 40%, although i thought the sale was not too great, the store was still crowded. The great thing i noticed was the decoration outside the building, it's amazing how Macy's come up with great creative ideas every year. Since thanksgiving is over and now it's the time to really start thinking about what you will put in the stockings for the kids and the family.  The holiday is here meaning window display in all major retailers around the country. Macys has started their window display and I thought this sign is a great way to start thinking about the holiday.

This great sign means so much to everyone and it's just awesome for people to see it on the wall of macys.

This is the season to believe anything is possible and never give up....

I got this Samsung flat Screen TV from RadioShack on BlackFriday. it's an awesome TV... Picture is awesome and great sound.

Black Friday Recap!

On Black Friday we woke up really around 3 am to go to target because we thought we would be able to get what we wanted to buy which was the flat screen TV that was on Special. It was madness by the time we got there although we got there by cab; we were at the back of the line, well after 5 minutes of being online that's when the crowd started to grow. It goes from all around the parking, i have never seen anything this but im just excited that it was too cold for me...There were people shopping with their kids and seriously real pregnant women and new born were out there. I really feel the parents pain for bringing their kids to this craziness because it will cost them an arm and a leg for baby sitting, especially in NYC. To make the customers feel better Target employees started to give out the reusable shopping bag to the first 500 customers and we got one. I have lots of use for this bag. After standing outside for 1 hour when we finally made to the stores it was sold out, wow we did all this for nothing. We got around 6:30 and I got on the internet and I found out that RadioShack had a sale on the Samsung tv and we decided to go there and got one. I am really enjoying this tv right now. the picture is clear and it has great sound.

Happy Thanks Giving Everyone! Today is day for you to spend with your love one and friends. Be thankful for your health and for the love of others. I am so excited to say that my hubby and I cooked the Thanks Giving dinner and it was delicious. I am so ready for the black Friday sale... We have to go target to get the TV that's going to be on sale, so we will be out there by 4 am.... I am hoping it will not be too crowded and everyone will behave nicely.

Macys Parade 09

As you all know Thanks Giving day is not only a day you spend with your love ones but also it's a day for celebration and a great way to do is by having a parade. Macys has the biggest parade in New york City every Thanks Giving and each year there are more giants helium balloons and characters floating down 5th Ave. This year it's like any other year and the parade will feature 1,500 dancers, lots of school marching bands, cheerleaders, singers and performers, 24 floats, recognize local heroes, Santa Sleigh and many more. Each year Macys choose a character to be the main one for the holiday and this year it is known to be Sailor Mickey; if you're ever at macys almost every corner in the store has the Sailor Mickey around, and it's really an awesome souvenir as well as gift for the kids.

The Performers in the parade include: Bello, Andrea Bocelli, Keke Palmer, Grandma and the cast of the Big Apple Circus, the cast of Hair, Boys Like Girls, DJ Lance Rock and the cast of Yo Gabba Gabba!, Kermit the Frog and Tiffany Thornton, the cast and Muppets of Sesame Street, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots, cast of Billy Elliot, Sarah Hughes, Jane Krakowski, cast of Bye Bye Birdie, Ziggy Marley with Judah Marley, Miss America 2009 - Katie Stam, the Radio City Rockettes, Katharine McPhee, Mitchel Musso, The Pizzarelli Quartet, cast of Shrek, and Jay Sean. The best thing about all the performances they are all free.

Today after work like i always do every year I decided to stop by Macys at 34th in NYC to see how are things are going for the parade. Since it was early and it was drizzling I did not get see the dress rehearsal, however i managed to capture the people at work installing all the benches where Matt Lauer will be sitting and the space for the spectators. I also noticed how beautiful and crowded the stores was with all the happy shoppers so i snapped some shots of them...

However, after being in the store for 30 minutes I noticed the Jessica Simpson shoes department was so crowded with all the shoes lovers, I really could not stay away even though i tried. OMG!!!!!!! I don't even know where to start. As you all know the day after Thanks Giving Black Friday is the busiest day in the Shopping calendar for all the savvy shoppers like myself. To get started with your holiday shopping lots of stores have offered great discount on almost everything from flat screen TV to Computer; to furniture to shoes. Radio City Christmas Spectacular recap...

I had such a wonderful time last Sunday when we went to see the Rockettes. For the price of our tickets i really thought we were going to be sitting way up in the balcony, but instead we sat on the first floor and not too far from the stage. The place was crowded with kids and their parents, it was just a family night and i enjoyed every moment of it. The Rockettes were phenomenal from the beginning of the show to the end. although it was just a one hour show  it was really worth it and it's the best way to ushering the holiday season. it really was a dream come true for me after so many years of wanting to see the girls that I finally got the chance to do it... If ever in the New York City area please stop by Radio City Music Hall to see the show, it's the greatest show ever.
