A New hand Bag for Moi

I know I should not be shopping but I could not stop myself from buying this Dooney and Bourke bag on Friday at Macys. I spent about 30 minutes holding on to the bag before I made the decision, I even called  my hubby Michael and asked if I should get it or not. Well I ended up buying the bag and the original price was $235 and I got it for $115. I rarely spend that much money on a handbag but I just could not leave it, I had to take home...  I know I am going to have enough use for this bag since fall is here and it's color coordinating  for my  brown Northface coat  comes winter time. I really like the color I always go for the tan/brown whenever I go shopping. The bag is fairly big, everything should fit and then some, it has adjustable strap so when I start wearing my coat or a thick sweater it should not be a problem. I know shopping for hand bag is my guilty pleasure and it's very difficult to say no to a hand bag like that one. I am going to enjoy the bag and I am happy with the choice I make.

Under Construction....

Happy Monday!!!! it's been over 5 months since i have been posting on this blog and i thought It would be very interesting if I change the template. Well I looked at several other blogs and I really enjoyed the cool templates I have seen so far. I have changed the template and now I am trying to make everything fit within the template itself. I am going to see if I can finish tonight or I will continue to work on it tomorrow at work or when I come home.... In the meantime please excuse my blog... It should be looking very fancy by this week.

The Fashion with David TuTERA

As you know it's fashion week in NEW YORK CITY and that's when all the designers showcase their spring collection. On Tuesday 9/22 I was invited to the launch of David Tutera by Faviana Wedding Dress Collection... That was my first regular fashion show besides going to MACYS and view other designers collection for the public. That fashion show was by invitation only and I had a great time there. The show started with the violinist duo " Nuttin But Stringz"

They were unbelievable, it was a great performance and I would like to see them again in a concert. The fashion show was awesome, really good music to bring out  the models with different wedding gowns and i really got an idea what would look good me and what I would not wear.... The elegance of the gowns really show all the tiny details of the gown, also the accessories were very simple but elegant to fit anyone's taste. I really like the short veil one of the model had on, it really looks like the veil Britney Spears had on when she performed Like A Virgin with Madona and Christina Aguillera. One thing that's really difficult for me to comprehend is the fact that some of the dresses had no elegance or taste because the models who wore them are so skinny and don't have the body to support the dress. Throughout the showing you could tell that this dress is a fancy dress but it could look better on someone else.

Last Tuesday 9/22 i went to the screening of My Fair Wedding which is to start on Sunday 9/27. All the other brides from the past season were there to celebrate the 2nd season premier of the show with David.  It's a really good show because every bride has a vision of how they want their big day to turn out. However, what they hope for does not really come out the way they expected to be and that's when David Tutera comes in to rescue all these brides from a  total disaster.

The premise of the show is that David Tutera who is a celebrity party planner comes in 3 weeks before the wedding and change everything around from the bride herself, to the bridesmaid, and the venue. their wedding goes from being an everyday wedding to a Cinderella fairy tale, a celebrity wedding; it's all these brides ever dream for but without it would not have been possible. The season premier is on WE TV and I am so going to watch and get tips on how my wedding should be like.

What a Week!

Wow, What a week it has been. I have been very busy at work because we are going into the 4th quarter and I had a lot to get done. A new quarter means, new adverters, new agencies, get new binders to put all the traffic instructions in, long wait for units to get allocated, request tapes and new contacts from the sales assistants. It has been very chaotic in the  traffic department not only becuase i have to build a log but also i have to applie copy to the units that are scheduled to run for the week and that's a lot. Luckily on thursday I stayed late until 6:30 to have a head start on all the work I have to get done. It's really important to always have a plan set for when entering into a new quarter in the advertising world. It's a relief because the crazy week is so over and i am ready for a new week although i have more logs to build.

Kanye West-a little too late to apologize......

I am sure you heard what Kanye West did on Sunday at the MTV MUSIC AWARD (VMA) and  since then he's been going everywhere trying to apologies and showing how sincere he is towards Taylor Swift and her fans.... Well for one what he did to Taylor Swift was totally wrong  and he waited until the show ended to start making his sorry apology, well it's too late for that....

After winning for best female video beating out Beyonce and Lady GaGa, Taylor Swift was on stage saying her thank yous until she was interrupted by Kanye West who came out of nowhere took the microphone from her hand and reportedly stated that Beyonce had the best video and that should have won instead.... Well Kanye too bad you're not the one choosing winner, I thought what he did was inappropriate, this is not the place for it. No wonder why the  fans booed him everytime they mentioned his name throughout the show.. I wonder if it was Alicia Keys or Mary J Blige who had won what would he have done then..... That was very professional on Beyonce's part to call Taylor Swift back to the stage to finish her speech....

FootBall Season is here...

Here we are again going into the first week of the NFL.... I am super excited for this new season of football, I am a huge fan of sports and seriously football is the "it", there something about watching your team play and here you are in front of the TV screen creaming and yelling when something goes wrong. Football is everything you can ask for in sports, the excitement that the games bring is like no other.

Fashion Night out in NYC...

I REALLY LIKE THIS SHOPPING BAG, I IMAGINE I GET THAT FULL OF CLOTHES FROM ALL MY FAVORITE DESIGNERS...

OMG!!!!!!!!! What a great way to celebrate fashion in the city of fashion. Yeah you heard New York is the capital City of Fashion and yesterday around the city for the first time ever New Yorkers were celebrating fashion globally. It was an amazing show everywhere around the city, in all the stores there lots of fun festivities going on. In addition to several premier fashion shows, few celebrity appearances, there was cocktail receptions with live DJ...

This is ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS DESIGNER OF ANYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF MICHAEL KORS AND ACTRESS DEBRA MESSING....... I WAS BOMBARDED WITH PEOPLE TRYING TO TAKE A SHOT OF THEM, MACYS WAS VERY CROWDED WITH SCREAMING FANS....

I knew about the fashion night two weeks ago when i found out that a very special designer was going to be at Macys to showcase her clothing line I was very Excited. Since I can't really go to the other fashion show I always make an effort to go the one without having the VIP pass. I was very lucky to see the introduction of Rachel Rachel Roy clothing line. The show was very fantastic, the models were on point and looking at the clothes the models were wearing I do see myself rocking them. It's fun, sophisticated, simply elegant for anyone.

Labor day weekend...

I had no plan for this holiday weekend except spending sometimes with my nephews and going shopping, since all the stores are having some good sales. MACYS, GAP, EXPRESS, VICTORIA SECRET AND ALL THE OTHER STORES ARE HAVING BIG SALES, so if you're going to the mall just stop by any of this stores.... Being in NEW YORK there's a always the WEST INDIAN DAY parade in Brooklyn by all the countries in the Caribbean where everyone wear the flags of their country, to show support of where they came from. It's very great show because there's good food and colorful disguise like you see in the picture that i post. I am not sure if i am going, I have never been to that parade believe it or not...However, i am supporting my beautiful countries of HAITI AND JAMAICA for Michael...

Michael Vick deserves a second chance

Michael Vick what i can really say about him... He is a great quarter back for those of you like football should know that. He sometimes runs the football better than a running back.. Until 2 years ago he was accused of dog fighting in his home in Virginia and was sentenced to 2 years in jail. While he was in jail plenty of animal activists protested around his home and whenever he was going to court, the protesters would be outside with posters and signs.. I really could understand their frustration because it's animals that were being killed... at the same he went to jail and paid his deed. in addition, he was suspended from the NFL and he was let go by his team the Atlanta Falcon, no teams wanted to hear from him when he was ready to come out..

This year he got out of jail and started training at home and hoping he would be picked by a team. It took him a while because he was not illegible to play for numbers of weeks... when he got reinstated no teams were thinking of picking him up until the eagle decided they would pick him and he would be playing behind Donovan McNabb.. that story was a big one since no one wanted Michael Vick... I was really happy for him because he finally find a place to play...

so now on Thursday he came to play in NY against the JETS and the crowd would not stop calling him all kinds of names off the book and all the fans were barking non stop... I don't think it's fair at all because when you have a rapist on the loose i don't see no one goes around and start protesting against the rapist who would be out of jail in no time.. or a murder who got away from prison... You know that's how society works because people care more about animals more than the well being of Humans... very sad..

I think Michael Vick deserves and second chance because he makes mistakes like everyone else and there are people who did worse than him.. I am supporting him and he should be left alone....

Wonderful day at the JETS PRE-SEASON GAME

I HAD A WONDERFUL TIME AT THE GAME.... GO JETS....



I had a wonderful time at the game on Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagle. It was my first football game ever and sadly enough I did not have on anything green to wear... The excitement going in the stadium is unbelievable, everyone was there to have a fantastic time and see their team preparing for an excellent new season.. I was very enthused because as a sport fan it's a dream come true to go see your team play even if it's preseason game. The stadium is very huge and somewhat steep because as i sit down i felt like I'm going to fall, besides the steepness of the stadium everything else is great there.... While the game was going in the 4th quarter we managed to go to the first level and got a better view, i meant real good view of the eagles players.. I saw Donovan MCnabb, Michael Vick and rest of the Eagle players.... I was over the top seeing all these players... I had an awesome and i would like to back before it's too cold....
